More Than I Asked For

Yesterday I was prayed by my friend in cell group. I just asked her to pray for me about my hope in job. But, she pray for me more than I asked her to do. She pray for me about my future husband.

How blessed I am have such a wonderful friend like her. But, I am more blessed have God like Jesus Christ. He often gives me more than I asked or I deserved for. Even He was sacrifice for me and gave His life to redeem my sins. He loves me more than I can imagine. Thanks God.

"If your child asks you for bread, would any of you give him a stone? Or if your child asks for a fish, would you give him a snake? Even though you’re evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?" Matthew 7:9-11 (GW)

Trust God Forever

Isaiah 26

"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal." Isaiah 26:4 (NIV)

Trust God forever. Even though we have not received what God promised yet, although we have not seen miracles happen yet, even if we do not get what we want, keep trusting God, remains faithful to the Lord, keep loving God because God is good and He always provide the best for His children, He is always caring and always loves us. What makes you doubt God? What makes you feel disappointed to God? If you do not stop believing in God, if you do not stop praying to God, if you do not give up hope in God, if you do not doubt God, if you are not disappointed and leave God, in His time, you will receive better than what you want, better than what you can imagine, more than you need.

"He never doubted that God would do what He promised. He never stopped believing. In fact, he grew stronger in his faith and just praised God. Abraham felt sure that God was able to do what He promised. So that's why "he was accepted as one who is right with God." Romans 4:20-22 (ERV)

Quick to Repent, Quick to be Restored

Isaiah 19

"So the Lord will show Himself to the Egyptians. Then they will say He is the Lord. They will serve God and offer many sacrifices. They will make promises to the Lord, and they will keep them. The Lord will punish the Egyptians. Then He will heal them. They will come back to the Lord. He will listen to their prayers and heal them." Isaiah 19:21-22 (ICB)

At the time the problem occurs, people often quick to complain. Humans are often quick to blame others, situations, and even blame God. But, let us learn to quickly evaluate ourselves, quick to humble ourselves before God to ask for God's forgiveness. Let us quickly to pray and seek God's face. When we turn from our wrong and evil way, then God will hear our prayer from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our country. God will listen our prayers and heal us.

"I may shut the sky so that there is no rain, or command grasshoppers to devour the countryside, or send an epidemic among My people. However, if My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear their prayer from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country." 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 (GW)

Do The Best

Nehemiah 4

Rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem had problems. There are those who oppose it and intends to thwart development. However, Nehemiah relied on God and prayed to God. He told his people not to fear the enemy and focus on mighty and powerful God.

Our Lord is great and powerful. Do not be afraid of your problem. Do not be afraid of your future. Focus and remind the power of God that is able to help you. Pray to God. Keep doing your part and God will do His part.

"So place yourselves under God's authority. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you." James 4:7 (GW)

Keep Praying

Ezra 9-10

When Israel was in the days of slavery, God make them aware of their sins. The difficulties experienced by the nation of Israel is because of their sins to God. But, God did not abandon them. God does not punish them as great as their sins and still have mercy on them.

In every difficulty that we face, we may not know what should we decide or where should we go. However, we should still be able to pray to God. Confess every sin and ask for God's forgiveness. Counting back to God's help and do not sin again.

"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." James 5:16 (NLT)
