Chosen and Equipped

Jeremiah 1

"But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you." Jeremiah 1:7 (NIV)

God will give us the ability to do His commandments and His will. But, do you want to do God's commandments? Do you have faith that God can give you ability and make you able to do His commandments?

"You are young, but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them with your words, with the way you live, with your love, with your faith, and with your pure life." 1 Timothy 4:12 (ICB)

All Good Things Come From God

2 Chronicles 27

Jotham did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, except he did not enter the temple of the Lord. He always obeyed the Lord, his God. Therefore, God made him powerful. He managed to build a lot of constructions and defeat the king of the Ammonite people. God gives success and prosperity. Ammonites gave to him about 7500 pounds of silver, 62000 bushels of wheat, and about 62000 bushels of barley for 3 years.

Every success and every good thing comes from God. When we want to direct our lives to God and always obey God, we will become powerful and live in the success and prosperity. The problem is no longer a problem because God is with us. We will successfully build our lives, others, our city, and our country. We will be a blessing wherever we are if we do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

"My dear brothers, do not be fooled about this. Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon, and stars. God does not change like their shifting shadows." James 1:16-17 (ICB)

Obey Faithfully

1 Chronicles 22

David prepared Solomon to build a temple for the Lord. Not only the best materials for the temple were prepared, but David reminded Solomon to rely on God and the importance of follow God's direction and obey the rules and laws of God.

A success does not only come by doing your best at your jobs, but also by obeying God's words faithfully. As long as we hold on to the Word of God, we will be able to face any challenges with God. God who is with us will make us able to do any jobs and our responsibilities.

Do not be afraid. Do not lose heart. Be strong and courageous to always believe and hope in God. Do your jobs and commandments of the Lord faithfully for glory of God.

"Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." Psalms 1:1-3 (NLT)

Live by God's Word

I Kings 3-5

When Solomon showed his love for God by following the law of the Lord, God granted the request of Solomon. Solomon did not ask for long life, wealth, or the lives of his enemies. He asked for wisdom to do the truth, do the law of the Lord.

Live by God's word have focus on God. Focus on God make us ask God to be able to do God's will and do the truth. That is life that pleases God. Therefore, God given us what we ask and even what we do not ask so that we will prosper dan success.

Has your life according to the Word of God? Has your life focused on God? What is your wish to God? Is it for yourself or for God?

"This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success." Joshua 1:8 (AMP)
