God is Sovereign

Psalm 127

"A song for going up to worship. Of Solomon. If the Lord doesn’t build the house, the builders are working for nothing. If the Lord doesn’t guard the city, the guards are watching for nothing." Psalm 127:1 (ICB) 

God is sovereign in everyhing that happens in our lives. He never fails to fulfill His plan. All the work we do will be in vain if it is not in accordance with God's will. Our effort was successful not because of our greatness, but because God desires to bless and make us successful. Blessed be the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth. All praise, honor, and glory only to the name of the Lord.

God's Word is Miracle

Word of God is full of God's wonderful promises. God never break His promises and always do His words. Word of God is always powerful and comes true. Let us ask the Lord to open the eyes of our hearts so that we can understand and do His Words.

"But what is the seed that fell on the good ground? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching and understands it. That person grows and produces fruit, sometimes 100 times more, sometimes 60 times more, and sometimes 30 times more." Matthew 13:23 (ICB)

Protect Your Heart

Psalm 116

"Be at peace again, my soul, because the Lord has been good to you." Psalm 116:7 (GW)

What happens in this life can only be destroy us if we allow it. If we protect our room so that not everyone could get into it, it is more important to protect our hearts and minds so that not all things can enter and destroy our hearts and minds. When we keep our hearts and minds to focus on God, we can be at peace. Control yourselves and protect your heart.

Growing Together in the Lord

Psalm 111

It is important for us to fellowship with God personally. However, it is also important for us to worship God with other believers. By gathering together with our brothers and sisters to glorify the name of God, we will be more united, we can support each other and grow together in the Lord. When we are tired and experiencing drought, faith and spirit of other believers can be transmitted to us so that we can strengthen our faith and rise together to reach the finish line that God has set.

"We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming." Hebrews 10:25 (GW)

God's Help

God is the source of our help. God is always trustworthy and reliable. People who trust and hope in the Lord will not be humiliated. God is a mighty God. He defeated our enemies and saved us with His miraculous way.

A Father's Love

Psalm 103

God's love for us is like a Father's love to His children. Status that can never be changed by whatever is the status of being a parent and child. No ex-child. No ex-father. No ex-mother. Father forever remain as father. Mother forever remains as mother. Child forever remains as child. God really does not want to separate from us. Therefore, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to bear our sins and reconcile us to the Father in Heaven. Father in Heaven loves you more than you can imagine.

The Joy from God

Psalm 97

"You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right. May all who are godly rejoice in the Lord and praise his holy name!" Psalm 97:10-12 (NLT)

If your joy is lost, that is not a joy. The joy is not depend of what we feel or get. The joy will produce something even if we do not get anything because joy is the seed planted in our hearts by God. Whatever happens, we can always rejoice because God who gives joy to us. The conditions and the situation can not stole the joy of the Lord. We can still rejoice and praise God not because there is anything but because of everything. Every thing that happens reminds us that we are alive and be thankful for everything and in everything.
