Knowing God's Will

1 Kings 1-2

Adonijah has the desire to be king. He equipped himself and celebrated himself as a king. However, all his efforts is failed because God wanted Solomon became king of Israel. Because God wanted Solomon became king of Israel, then no one can failed it.

Nothing can happen outside of God's will. Whatever our efforts, if it's not God's will, then it will be failed. But if it is the will of God, then no one can failed it. God is sovereign over our lives. Everything that happens in our lives is permitted by God.

When we know and do the will of God, then nothing can failed it. When we understand what God wants in our lives, then all our efforts will be successful and meaningful.

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2 (NLT)

There are two ways to understand the will of God according to Romans 12:2.
First, the life that reflects God's children. Have a holy life and live based on God's Word.
Second, to control our minds to think God's Word, God's promises, God's pleasure, the holiness of God, the goodness of God, the faithfulness of God, the greatness of God, the power of God, the sovereignty of God, and what the will of God.
“Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open." Revelation 3:7 (NLT)
