Ezekiel 31
"So this is what the Lord God says: “That tree grew tall. Its top reached up to the clouds. It grew so big that it became proud! So I let a powerful king have that tree. That ruler punished the tree for the bad things it did. I took that tree out of my garden." Ezekiel 31:10-11 (ERV)
When we got the success and great achievements, what we are proud of? Is it our ability or the goodness of God that makes us successful?
"Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same." James 1:17 (ERV)
Only by the grace of God alone we are as we are today. Only because the favor of God alone we obtain every success and all the best things in our lives. What things can made us boast? All that we have comes from God. All of our achiements solely because of the ability given by God. When we are at the pinnacle of success, we must glorify the name of God and proclaim the goodness of God in our lives. We are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others.
"The eyes of arrogant people will be humbled. High and mighty people will be brought down. On that day the Lord alone will be honored." Isaiah 2:11 (GW)
