1 Kings 18
The Israelites followed the futility gods and no longer follow the living God, who brought them out of slavery in Egypt and has been done many wonders. But, the living God, showed His miracle power by sending the fire from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It even burned up all the water in the trench! And when all the people saw it, they fell face down on the ground and cried out, “The Lord—he is God! Yes, the Lord is God!”
There is only one living God which we can rely. There is only one God who deserves our worship. It is God who gave His only begotten Son to save us from our sins.
Put your hope only to the living God. Because Jesus is alive after rising from the dead for sins, He is God who gives hope that never disappoints us. Only God who is in the heaven that can bring us to the heaven. Only God who save us is worthy of our worship, our belief, and our devotion for the rest of our lives.
