Control Your Anger

Proverbs 20

"Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor, only fools insist on quarreling." Proverbs 20:3 (NLT)

When others hurt us and make us angry, we must be vigilant. We need cool our heads and understand what God wants us to do. Do not let our anger makes us lose control and make us do things that we will regret later. Perhaps we feel justified in our anger, but remember that Jesus had the right to be angry when people want to crucify him because He did not do any wrong things. Jesus has the right to defend themselves and destroy all those who tortured him. But, Jesus prefer to do the will of His Father. He forgave those who hurt him and asked His Father to forgive them. Jesus have no sin, but He is willing to be blamed because of our sins. Our desire was often different from what God wants. But, if we obey the true will of God more than satisfy our desires and our ego, we will obtain the resurrection and the glory from the Lord because of the cross that we bear.
"Remember this, my dear brothers and sisters: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and should not get angry easily. An angry person doesn’t do what God approves of." James 1:19-20 (GW)
